Sacroiliac Joint Pain Treatments
A treatment of prolotherapy combined with PRP over multiple sessions often works to strengthen the ligaments and reduce the joint instability and pain to a manageable level and eliminate the need for surgery that may not be on the root cause of the problem. This has been proven over and over.
I have seen many many patients who come in to see me with complaints of low back pain in the office when the pain is actually caused by dysfunction in in their sacroiliac joint or joints.
Patients typically have already tried a course of cortisone or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications either orally or by injections and have had numerous x-rays, oftentimes looking for a disc problem. They’ve seen physical therapists, massage therapists, acupuncturists and chiropractors all to no avail. Some come in for 2nd opinion, having already been scheduled for disc surgery, thinking this is the cause of their pain.
